ITR Challenges Overview

The International Tournament of Robots (ITR) offers a wide range of exciting and innovative challenges that test participants' creativity, engineering skills, and problem-solving abilities. Each event is designed to inspire collaboration and ingenuity, providing students with a platform to showcase their talents. Here's a summary of our key challenges:

1. Robot Dance

A dynamic and creative challenge where robots are programmed to perform synchronized dance routines. Teams are judged on creativity, choreography, and technical execution.

2. Journey to the Center of the Earth

Robots navigate a complex course inspired by subterranean adventures, overcoming obstacles and completing tasks that simulate underground exploration.

3. Rescue on the Flat Plane

In this challenge, robots must identify and retrieve objects representing victims in a simulated disaster scenario, demonstrating precision and efficiency.

4. High-Risk Rescue

An advanced rescue challenge where robots face heightened difficulties, such as unpredictable terrains and critical timing, showcasing exceptional programming and design.

5. Chilean Rescue

Inspired by real-life rescue missions, this event tasks robots with rescuing objects from deep and narrow spaces, demanding innovative problem-solving.

6. Tug of War

A thrilling competition where two robots face off in a test of strength and traction, pulling against each other on a shared rope.

7. Tug of War 2x2

An upgraded version of Tug of War, where teams of two robots collaborate to outmaneuver and overpower their opponents in a cooperative display of engineering.

8. Sumo

Robots compete in a head-to-head battle to push their opponent out of the designated arena, testing strength, strategy, and sensor accuracy.

9. Mexican Sumo - Sumo 3Kg

A heavier and more challenging version of the classic Sumo event, where robots weighing up to 3 kilograms engage in intense battles.

10. Autonomous Car Racing

Participants design and program autonomous vehicles to navigate a track as quickly and accurately as possible, focusing on speed and obstacle avoidance.

11. Drag Racing

A straight-line race where robots showcase raw speed and acceleration over a short distance, emphasizing design and motor power.

12. Multimedia Documentation

A creative category where teams produce multimedia content, including videos and reports, capturing the essence of their preparation, teamwork, and competition experience.

Each challenge is crafted to inspire creativity, collaboration, and technical excellence, making the ITR a unique and unforgettable experience for participants of all skill levels. Join us to explore the exciting world of robotics!
